These guidelines apply to article comments and forum replies. They exist so this stays a useful, readable place for everyone.
Be respectful#
Disagreement is welcome. Personal attacks, harassment, threats, and discriminatory language are not, and will be removed.
Plain text only#
Members cannot post links, images, attachments, or formatted content. Describe what you mean in words. This is a deliberate technical limit, not a bug; if a filter blocks something legitimate, report it through the contact page.
No spam, solicitation, or impersonation#
Do not post advertising, unsolicited promotion, or repeated off-topic content. Usernames that suggest a staff or administrative role, when you are not staff, are not allowed.
Stay on topic#
Keep replies relevant to the article or forum thread you're posting in.
Moderation and enforcement#
Administrators may hide or remove messages, lock threads, and suspend accounts that don't follow these guidelines. Enforcement is at the administrator's discretion and may be escalated for repeated or severe violations.
Reporting a problem#
Use the Report control on any message to flag it for review, or contact us directly if it's urgent.
